The Yanks are Back

02.09.2008

Reality TV has taken over our screens for far too long but this week sees the return of the American dramas and sitcoms that have been sadly missing from our screens for quite some time.

First, our favourite convicts are back in series four of Prison Break on Tuesdays. Brothers Michael (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) are both out of prison and vying for blood. With twists and turns and the sometimes surprising return of some old favourites this season looks set to be a hit.
Prison Break returns to Sky One on Tuesday 2nd September at 10pm

Wednesdays, we're back with the Desperate Housewives after the TV gods rather evily took the programme away from us half-way through the series and filled our screens with hours and hours of another desperate bunch – the big brother housemates. But Wednesday is Wisteria day and as channel four waves goodbye to Davina and her merry bunch of wannabes we cry a 'welcome back!' to the ladies of Wisteria Lane.
Desperate Housewives returns to Channel 4 on Wednesday 3rd September at 9pm

Finally, there's the return of our favourite misfit in Ugly Betty , back to finish off series 2. The second half of the series sees Betty bothered by the message the magazine is sending across to children so she tries to encourage Daniel to use ordinary women as models during fashion week - hilarious with a bit of conscience.
Ugly Betty returns to Channel 4 on Friday 5th September at 9pm

From this week staying in really is the new going out.
